Like Lance Armstrong...!

I just showed Greg the picture I am going to load for today, and he said "wow... cool - that's like Lance Armstrong"

I took this yesterday, and I almost managed to catch Gregory copying Lewis, but not quite. It can only be a matter of time, before he manages to get his hands up, and then there'll be an almighty crash and tears. But you can't tell him....

Healthy appetite

Greg devouring pasta with spinach and tomato sauce is today's picture. I think the last time I did this shot Greg was eating cheesey pasta, so he's progressed fairly well since then.

It's amazing what the inducement of a bike ride can achieve....

Racetrack Charlie...

Greg rides like a man posessed, and his bike seems absurdly small for someone cycling so competently along... However it was only a few weeks ago he was too small for the bike, and I was trying to get the seat lower.

Now he races after Lewis, overtaking me and yumping off the kerbs.

A slice of the Good Life...!

You know when your kids are getting a bit too PR savvy when they come knocking on the door to say "Daddy come quick, we're making Strawberry Jam, and it'll look good on the blog...!"

What would Henri Cartier Bresson made of it?

Look wot we dun!

.

Two little environmental artists quite pleased with their creation - well Mummy helped a bit!

This morning after my bike ride we met up at Fritham, and had lunch at the Royal Oak. Very tasty and the beer wasn't bad either. Two pints of Summer Lighthning in the sunshine is good for taking the hedge off the day...

Smoke on the Water

I was feeding Miranda her breakfast today, when I heard Lewis practicing his guitar in the Living Room.... it was "Smoke on the Water" and I instantly broke out into air guitars in the kitchen. Evidently his music teacher has got real taste. He's going to play it down the phone to Gran later see if she can recognise it too!!!

Lewis' neck

One of my interests is to photographs bits of the kids which describe their youth. This is the back of Lewi's neck complete with suntan and bleached hair...

Heads Up

Miranda's starting to get herself more upright these days, using her arms to push up, head spinning around to keep an eye on things.

I took her on the swing yesterday, and she thought it was very amusing rocking around inside the cage.

Football Crazy

"Hey Lewis! England played today...."
"No they didn't ....your talking rubbish...."
Greg and Lewis' last exchange before beddiebyes tonight - Greg is football crazy and a day in school is enough to charge his batteries.

And on it goes.....

The wheels on the bus...

Lewis loves playing with his toys, and gets very attached o some of them. This bus, procured by a certain relative, is a local X33 running from the Hampshire up to London, and I'm sure he has every ambition to have a collection of buses "just like Grandan"

Taken yesterday just after lunch, I think this is one of my favourite shots of Tiger.

Coochie coo!

Today we walked the donkeys and had eggy sandwiches from Barry and Janis' - Miranda obviously enjoyed her eggy vegetables as well.

Still no new pictures of Greg riding his bike, but we did ride down to the Marina today for the first time, and I caught him trying to copy Lewis doing "no hands" Fortunately common sense took a hold of him before he came off.

Giving as good as he gets...

Greg is really good at turning on the "injured kid" when it suits him, but when you watch closely he's constantly pushing Lewis to box together. Trouble is when you are bigger you are more likely to get into mischief......

Today Greg Lewi and I went for a bike ride in the forest. This was Greg's first off road ride, and we did the whole circuit from Denny Wood almost reaching Brockenhurst, and up as far as the Lyndhurst margins of the wood. He's my Top Rider.... No pics, but watch this space.

Up! Up! and Away!

So goes the song on one of my compilation disks, and so goes monkey up the tree. Tonight he shinned up the tree at Lepe in record time as he had an older boy behind him to impress!

Just got back from the beach, and bathed the clan...another day bites the dust.

Ouch......!

I had a nasty bump when I stopped over in London this week. A single step about 6 feet from a staircase in the lobby of my hotel, took me without warning and I had the pleasure of an evening's entertainment at the A+E Department of Chelsea Hospital.

Not what you want after doing 9 hours on an exhibition stand at Earls Court.... and before you've had a chance to have dinner.

A little R.O.I.

Greg wearing the Gecco T Shirt for the first time today - as Mum observed "Lewis was wearing that shirt the day you were born......"

Precious memories shared via the blog....!

Social Climber

Greg in typically determined appearance. There were a few boys showing off at Lepe, so Greg had to respond.

My hasn't he grown...!

When you see Lewis stretched out like this you realise what a big chap he is - looking like a teenager already! Starting to behave like one too at times.

He been determined to get across these monkey bars, but always seems to fail just before the end. A little girl came along today and did it in no time, so he got straight back on again but no joy this time!

New Chicks on the block!

Barry has taken two little fluffy chicks into his entourage, so it was time to get aquainted. Lewis and Greg both had a go at holding them, but I didn't managed to get a decent shot, it all happened too quickly.

It was also quite funny when they were running around trying to catch them to put them away again, but alas not good photos either. So the "mis en scene" will have to do

Captain Pugwash...

I promised Barry a picture of Gregory wearing his eyepatch, so here it is!

Tuesday, June 06, 2006

There's no stopping him now!

Greg has progressed to daredevil stuntrider in the space of a week. He's able to stunt off the pavement and I've even caught him yumping the handlebars up to try a for wheelie. Not bad for a three year old who has only mastered two wheels a week ago.

He's the new "Top Rider", Lewis having been promoted to "Champion Rider" status....

Farmer Giles

It was all hands on deck earlier this week when Farmer Giles (Barry Bevis) brought us a load of old poo for the garden.

Lewis and Greg were in their element, even having a ride back down in the trailer despite the rather nifferous state of it!

Miranda's first Donkey Ride..!

One small step for Domino..., and one big step for Mirandakind!

Mummy trying to get the ball rolling, but a little prematurely. Miranda doesnt seem too bothered though, so maybe we'll all be back out riding together soon.

We had a nice walk this moning, Lewis led Jennifer today and I took Gregory on Domino.

Football at Lepe

Dusting the week off with Footie on Friday night, the beach at Lepe is one of my favourite chill out spots. Very few people and an awesome vista over the Solent towards the Isle of Wight.

Colourful Miranda

I was photographing Miranda as she practiced turning over on the carpet, but I thought she'd look better in the hallway - she seems pleased with herself anyway - turning over and back again is a new trick!

Sardines

All wrapped up and nowhere to go! Here's the three monkeys strapped into the car, so I can subject them to my heart's content...
